Known as the heart chakra, Anahata describes a state in
which we are no longer fighting or confronting what we love but moving with it
in graceful harmony. With this mind, the
ladies of Anahata Bellydance Company come together in a creative pursuit which
celebrates their friendship as well as their love of dance.
Rasha, Malika, Kinza, and Caroline began performing together
in 2005 and quickly gained recognition for their innovative choreography and
energetic stage presence. Since then, under
the Artistic Direction of Rasha, they have pushed the boundaries of
contemporary bellydance while always seeking to honor their traditional Middle
Eastern dance roots.
